Worst task

What's the worst task you've ever had to perform at a job?

Me? there are tons. Hosing food particles out of the large rubber lattice mats at fast food restaurants. Especially when it was cold outside. Making handmade onion rings, the stink would only leave after many lemons were squeezed. At Barnes and Noble I had to clean toilets...in a tie...for just above minimum wage...yikes! All for the love of literature. I worked in many warehouses that had no AC when the temp was 100 outside. When I owned the printing company I would do all manner of degrading things like wet envelopes for hours on end.

Of course you know I hated being Chuck E Cheese, as detailed in 9/04 of the Minter blog.

So tell me, what sucked the most for you?

I was a stock boy at a grocery store. All damaged good were thrown in a corner. Thrown is key here, usually from very far away. The new guy had to clean it. Bugs, broken glass, and a terrible smell. You could not just clean it. You had to document every item in the filth.

One summer I cleaned toilets at camp and one of the guys cabins had a contest... yes they took pics of their #2 so when I went in to clean their bathroom the walls were covered with polaroids of pics of poo. Their were other nasty bathroom stories I won't recount here.

i worked at discovery zone. you know that big thing that is filled with plastic balls that the kids jump into and play in? well if one of the kids just happened to lose control of his or her bladder, we had to gather up all of the balls and take them out and have them hosed off. man...that sucked.

Good responses, guess we've paid our dues.

Just going in a men's room at a bar is unwieldy, let alone trying to clean it.
